Owen says, "To make this beautiful bespoke Oak Deadwood Log trinket box, I forage for the dead Oak wood locally to where I live. I use deadwood as it has more characters and features than normal live Oak wood, and deadwood has minimal moisture content so is ready to carve. I look at each piece individually and decide where best to cut for the length. I then route out the compartment, sanding smooth by hand. The lid has interlocking “key” inserts which are routed out and again finished off by hand to secure a firm and accurate fit."
