Upcycled oak bookcase made by Criterion, Phoenix Of London, circa 1940s. The bookcase has now been sanded down before being painted with Hessian coloured chalk paint on the top, bottom shelf and doorknob. A coat of chalk paint varnish has then been applied. Inside back now padded out with foam which is covered in top quality cotton fabric and glued into recesses above each shelf, buttons have been hand sewn on to the larger padded areas.
